CRASH GUIDE

※ Follow and apply troubleshooting steps below if you have any of these following crash issues:

❓ CRASH CHARACTER CHANGING

❓ CRASH SERVER CHANGING

❓ CRASH DURING LOADING SCREENS

❓ CRASH MAGNUS

❓ CRASH LOGGING TO CHARACTER SCREEN

❓ CRASH WHILE TRYING TO LOG IN TO A SPECIFIC CHARACTER

🔨 STEPS TO FIX IT:

  1. Close the game.
  2. Close launcher.
  3. Go to game folder.
  4. Find bin64 folder and go inside.
  5. Look for Cache folder and go inside.

ℹ️ If you set a custom path to install the game on launcher, your Cache folder will be in that custom path. Example: C:\Games\Melissia\ ℹ️ If you still can't find Cache folder, it must be in the same folder with ads, Log, Paz folders

  1. Delete the 1 folder in Cache folder.
  2. Go to Document\Black Desert folder and delete it.
  3. If there are any other server client or remnants of it installed on your system (including official BDO and other private servers)
    • Go to Document folder, find any folder related to BDO. This names may vary depending on your installed server clients (Let's say you have also play or played a private server named AnotherBDO, it's folder can be named Black Desert,AnotherBDOetc.)
    • Delete all of them.
  4. Launch the game and try to login to your character.

※ If you still have problems after above steps you may want to hear some tips:

  • Do not leave window (i.e. alt+tab) during character change or loading screens.
  • Also, play the game in windowed (or full screen windowed) mode.

I CAN'T LOGIN TO MY CHARACTER IN A LOCATION & THE GAME CRASHES AND/OR I CAN LOGIN TO OTHERS BUT I CAN'T LOGIN TO MY CHARACTER IN A CITY & THE GAME CRASHES?

If crash guide didn't work

  1. Method 1: Character Relocation
  • Log in to the character you are able to login, into a less crowded server (e.g., node war).
  • After logging into that character, try to log into your crashed character using character-changing function. Do not leave the window on the loading screen (do not alt+tab).
  • Move it to a different location (city) than the location (city) your crashed character is in (e.g., if your crashed character is in Velia, move it to Heidel).
  • Then change server back to crashed character's server (e.g., if crashed character's server was Melissia, change server back to Melissia).
  • Go to earlier character's location (city).

Let's say your problem name is Babygirl and her location is Velia, and the name of other character you can login without issue is BigDaddy and his location is doesn't matter, Babygirl is crashed, BigDaddy is not. Login to BigDaddyin Node War server. Then try to log in Babygirl using character-changing function. Do not alt tab. Now you are in Babygirl (mmm) and in Node War server. Babygirl is still in Velia. Move Babygirl to Heidel. Change server to Melissia. Move your Babygirl to Velia. Now you should be able to login to Babygirl without any issue.

  1. Method 2: noted by some players
  • It was noted that a few players solved the problem as follows: Connect to the other character that is not in the same location. Switch to the character you are having trouble with or Connect to another character, go to the location (city) of the character you are having trouble with and tag that character. Go out of town and switch to that character. This will change your character's location
