This comprehensive guide details the most efficient approach for gathering.

1. Overview & Location

While traditional gathering methods—such as logging, mining, or hoe gathering—are effective, they incur high weight penalties, requiring frequent storage trips, maid usage, and heavy inventory management.

Recommended Location: Lynch Ranch Sheep Mountain

  • Location: Directly south of Lynch Ranch (near Heidel / Northern Plain of Serendia).
  • Target Node: Mountain Sheep / Sheep Herds.
  • Key Advantage: High density of tightly grouped mobs, minimal weight burden (primarily blood or meat), and zero long-distance movement between packs.

2. Recommended Class Setup & Skills

Classes with wide-area vacuum / grouping skills significantly accelerate efficiency by pulling dense herds of sheep into a single point before harvesting.

Preferred Classes

  • Shai: Highly recommended as a dedicated Life Skill alt (native passive weight capacity, gathering bonuses, and strong area control).
  • Musa / Maehwa: Excellent mobility and fast grouping mechanics.

Essential Skill Setup

  • Shai Skill: Gather 'Round! (Level requirement: Lv. 40+).
  • Usage: Map the skill to a hotbar key. Activating it instantly vacuums surrounding sheep into a single stacked pile, eliminating the need to move between individual carcasses.

3. Gathering Mechanics & Buff Management

Recommended Tool

  • Fluid Collector: Recommended for maximum Caphras throughput without heavy weight accumulation. Fluid Collecting also has the fastest gathering mini game.
  • Butcher Knife: Alternative choice if meat is also required for Cooking.

  1. Item Increase Scroll (Level 2): Grants +100% Item Drop Amount and +50% Drop Rate.
  2. Agris Fever: Toggle ON to maximize item yields per gathering action.
  3. Lifestone / Life Spirit Stone & Seafood Cron Meal: For gathering speed +5, gathering mastery boost, and energy recovery rate.
  4. Fresh Whale Meat Salad: Adds an extra +15% Life EXP and can be stacked with Seafood Cron Meal if used after.
  5. Verdure Draught: Every lifeskillers favorite draught, +20% Life EXP as well as other benefits for other lifeskills.
  6. Perfume of Swiftness: +20% Life EXP, +200LT Weight and +5 Movement Speed
  7. Secret Book of Florin: +100 Life Skill Mastery, +20% Life EXP
  8. Lara's Warm Black Tea: +30% Life EXP, Gathering Item Drop Rate +10%, +100LT Weight

Mini-Game Optimization

  • Gathering Mini-Game (Green Thumb): When triggered, completing the quick-time event grants 10x base yields in a single interaction. This bonus stacks with Agris Fever and the passive effect of Golden Hedgehog and Webshop Hedgehog for even higher yields.
  • Yield Breakdown (Per Mini-Game Trigger):
    • Caphras Stones: ~3 to 6 per trigger.
    • Hard / Sharp Black Crystal Shards: 1 to 3+ per trigger.
    • Base Materials (Blood/Meat): 30 to 50+ per trigger.

Note: Caphras Stones are also accumulated passively over time via event rewards, and regular grinding (PVE).

5. Alternative Nodes vs. Sheep Mountain

If specific materials like Cotton, Aloe, Herbs, Ores or Gems are needed for Crafting or Processing rather than pure Caphras farming, alternative locations are available:

  • Kasula Farm (East of Tarif): Cotton Gathering.
  • Ahto Farm: Cotton and Aloe Gathering.
  • Lumbering (Calpheon / Treant Forest): High Caphras yield, but incurs extreme weight limits, requiring continuous storage maid usage or high weight investment.
  • Hoe Gathering (Behr): High Caphras yield as well as Everlasting Herb for Mythical Horse Awakening and other Alchemy recipes.
  • Mining (Pilgrim's Haven): A popular gathering spot for all kinds of Ores and Gems used in Processing and Crafting certain items as well as grinding Life Skill EXP.

6. Standard Gathering Loop

  1. Arrive at Lynch Ranch Sheep Mountain.
  2. Activate Agris Fever and Level 2 Item Scroll.
  3. Group sheep using Gather 'Round! (or equivalent class pull skill).
  4. Slay the group and use the Fluid Collector while holding the interaction key (R).
  5. Complete Mini-Game prompts instantly whenever they pop up for 10x drops.
  6. Deposit accumulated fluids into a campsite anvil/storage or maid interface when necessary.
