You are fishing for prize fish (red grade fish) only, so set your fishing filter to yellow and tick the box "Do not board other adventurers' ships". Fish on season channel as long as you have access to it for slightly higher chances to catch prize fish, switch to regular Melissia channel after season. Arsha channel does not increase your chances to catch more prize fish.
Only Lifeskill Mastery increases the prize fish catch rate, 6.25% is the maximum with 3000+ mastery.
To get Manos Fisher's Clothes you can either do the quest in Velia from NPC Abelin 15 times to craft them or by exchanging [Golden Seal] - Imperial Fishing x2000. Use Crio Fisher's Clothes until you obtain them.
For the Manos Fishing Chair you have to do the same quest 5 times to craft it. Use Crio Fisher's Chair until you obtain it.
[Event] Stella's Spirit Stone (+100 Mastery) is rewarded from some quests on season characters and can be bought with 2000 Loyalties in pearl shop. Treant's Tear (+30% extra Life XP) is a quest reward for finishing the lifeskill questline [Life 101] The Adventurer That Does It All exclusive to season characters. These two Alchemy Stones are recommended but any Life Alchemy Stone works for the Fishing Speed buff.
Sethra's Artifact - Fishing Mastery from selling yellow grade fish to Imperial Fishing Delivery NPCs (random chance to appear in your inventory after selling).
Depending on what Fishing Rod you have you want to use a different Lightstone set:
- Nibbles set for Balenos Fishing Rod +10 for the -15% Auto Fishing Time Reduction.
- Blacksmith's Blessing set for Durability Reduction Resistance to prolong their lifespan if you have saved up Splendid Golden Fishing Rods from last update or if using the Grandpa Cron's Fishing Rod from Webshop.
For the most profit only sell your fish to Land of the Morning Light Trade Manager Gapsam in Nampoo's Moodle Village.
